Bob Stewart's Children Fund

This memorial fund is established to help support Bob Stewart's children to ensure medical insurance coverage, a college savings plan, and emergency funds needed.  Due to recent circumstances and Bob's sudden, unexpected passing there were no resources set up for Ian (17) and William (15) Stewart, his wonderful sons.

Bob's family would like to make sure we are able to help support his terrific sons through this especially difficult loss of their farther.  Bob meant to so much to all of us, especially his sons.  He was a dedicated father and loved his time with his boys.  Although their time with him ended too soon, they have some beautiful memories of him to cherish.

Robert is survived by his wife Jess Batac (in the Philippines), his sons Ian Stewart (17) and William Stewart (15), his mother Lou Stewart, Janet & John Major (sister), Tom & Kimberly Stewart (brother), Julie & Ed Hayes (sister), and Cindy Stewart.

Funds will be managed by his brother Tom Stewart and sister Julie Stewart.

BOB STEWART

In Memory of

Bob Stewart

by Robb Hart

A good friend passed away in his sleep on February 5th 2017.

I last saw Bob on the Thursday before, when he was on our shoot for Mothers at the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. Bob was doing our location sound. He had rented an RV and a very cool eight channel digital recorder, he was in his element, I do not think I have ever seen Bob happier! After our shoot he went on to do the same thing on the King of Hammer race, which was happening nearby. I never got a chance to say goodbye to Bob, while we were wrapping, and now I never will. Bob you were constant in my life for almost twenty years, we worked together, played together, helped each other, laughed and cried. You will be missed by so many: your wife, your family, your friends, your clients and colleagues, the whole community of people who loved you Bob!

Bob Stewart had been doing live recording since he was 8 years old and playing the piano since he was 4 years old. He assembled a tube FM transmitter at age 10 and was broadcasting his records live on his father’s Hi Fi. Since then Bob modeled his career around sound recording, mixing, sound design, music production and electronics.

For 15 years he owned and operated the premier Orange County audio post-production studio, Stewart Sound Factory. This 5000 square foot facility completed hundreds of audio sessions in the Gaming, Imax, Broadcast and Web markets. Bob had extensive experience in Foley, sound design, music production, live recording, stereo, 5.1 and 7.1 mixing.

I designed this web site for Bob just a few months before he passed away. Bob's phone and email is being monitored by his brother Thomas Stewart.
